Roller Coaster

Here I am, a few days before my graduation ceremony and the commencement. I've always think about my graduation day and when it's finally almost here, i must say that its pretty surreal. My college years will soon ended and I will embark on a new chapter in my life. Although I'm not officially done as a student yet, as I will go to China soon after graduation to learn the language, but at least my life as a college student here in the US will soon end.

In the last blog I'd talk briefly about my three years in Portland, which is just a chunk of my whole experience studying abroad, pursuing my college education. If I counted the 1 year of college prep in Canada and the 2 years of community college in Houston, then in total I had been away from home for a good 6 years!! In short, so far I have spent most of my adult life being away from my family and the comfort of my culture, embracing instead, the independent life of a college student, a life of freedom and self-discovery. Through all the ups and down, it has been, no doubt, the best years of my life.

Looking back, I have learned so much over the past 6 years. Obviously I've also grown both physically and mentally, as well as spiritually. Physically, I see my weight keep changing like a roller coaster, from skinny..to buffy...to chubby...to VERY chubby....and then back to not-so-chubby...then to (almost) skinny....and now back to (almost) chubby again =p Mentally, I felt that I've matured a lot, especially in the last two years. I see things differently now that I'm older *sight* I'm now obviously more learned and open minded (although growing up, I felt that I've always been open minded compare to most of my friends). Spiritually, it has been a roller coaster ride for me too. Peace is the word that I'll use to describe my spiritual being right now. to make long story short, let me just say that I have now make peace with my self and my spiritual life...

However, the one thing in my life that remain constant and unchanged over the past years is my LOVE life! lol..well it doesn't really mean that absolutely nothing had happen in the last 6 years, I had some close calls and a few flings here and there, but I just still yet to find the one. Nevertheless, right now I'm not desperately in need for finding a gf or constantly in search for one..on the contrary, i'm not in a hurry whatsoever..maybe because of the fact that (I think) I don't put much effort in the searching or the pursuing part, that have left me in this situation -.-" Anyway it will take a whole blog just to discuss my love life and I'll save it for later =p

I'm very fortunate to be given the opportunity to study over here and I can't thanks my parents enough for everything that they've done for me so far! They will be coming in two days and I'm very excited!! I'm also very excited for my upcoming trip to the East Coast, soon after the graduation ceremony..we will be visiting DC, NY and finally end the trip in Toronto where I'll meet up with some of my old friends from CIC..I can't wait!

I guess I will end this blog here..there are still so many things that I still want to write but the urge of writing my final paper is more important right now..*sight* I've been procrastinating in writing this paper and it will be due in 2 days while I still haven't typed a single word! I will update u guys on my graduation ceremony and my trip to east coast as soon as I get back..but for now,
Adios ~
